Anglezarke Amble

The Studio team
I met up with some of my mates from Studio where I used to work in February to walk the 25 mile Anglezarke Amble, organised by the Long Distance Walking Association. In previous years we've run this but decided this year we'd take time to walk and have a catch up.

Rivington Pike
It was nice to meet up and spend the day chatting, catching up and
hiking around the Lancashire hills and moorland taking in Rivington Pike, Winter Hill, Darwin Tower and Great Hill.

For once, the weather had been pretty dry in the run up to the event and the day was relatively mild and sunny for the time of year making it a really good day out!

A big attraction of the event is its fantastic well stocked pit stops of snacks, pies, cheese and hot drinks! That and for once some stunning and panoramic views!

The highlight was at the top of Great Hill, for a change not a complete bog!

At the top of Harold's favourite hill we took a few moments to raise a toast of best malt whisky brought along by Dave McDonald to toast Harold Sach who introduced us to this event and sadly passed away last year... Here's to one of life's true gents! x
